Exploring Self and Environment through Art

29th July 2011 - 31st July 2011
West Lexham, Norfolk

Using the natural environment and materials to experiment with our visions for the earth, the internal and the external landscapes. Working individually, in pairs and as a whole group. The aims of the workshop are to encourage self-exploration through creativity with a variety of mediums, and to spend a fun and enjoyable weekend together in contact with nature.

How much does it cost?:
£235 early-bird rate for payment in full before 1st May, £259 after 1st May
Further Information:

Themes for the workshop:

•             Making images in the landscape, Land Art.

•             Considering the therapeutic and creative processes in relation to the land, the planet, the making ‘whole’ not only of ourselves but our home, the earth.

•             What we experience when we are when in urban environments.

•             How to maintain our connection to nature in urban places.
It is not necessary to have experience of using art materials or being ‘good at art’.   However we can all hopefully enter into the world of play and experimentation using paint, clay, sandtray objects, poetry and movement. Integrative Arts Psychotherapy offers participants the opportunity to explore their creativity and imagination in a safe environment. We will set boundaries to make us feel safe and explore participants’ expectations for the weekend.
