Interactive tours launched to break the silence amongst commuters.

Ever sat on the bus or train staring down a packed carriage, trying to avoid eye contact with your fellow travellers, and thinking how strange it is that no-one utters a word to each other?!

Limina and Global Cool have!

We will be hosting a series of talks designed to get tongues wagging.
Launching on Thursday 29th July with a seminar on the Art of Conversation, to give you a few helpful hints on how to get the conversation flowing with your fellow commuters.

So next time you see that girl/boy you fancy, you want to share someone’s morning paper, or you’re standing uncomfortably close to a complete stranger, you’ll know exactly what to say!

The events are FREE and will be held weekly on a Routemaster bus, picking up from Hyde Park.

The Art of Conversation lectures launch Thursday 29th July, then weekly until Thursday 19th August. The Routemaster bus leaves at 7:00pm. Starting at speakers cornerNorth Carriage Drive, Hyde Park (Marble Arch closest tube) and taking a scenic journey around central London.

About: Rural social enterprise is growing fast. It’s set to become a huge force in the development of rural economies, as traditional agriculture continues to decline. But the people driving the change are currently out of the support-network enjoyed by the cities. There is a huge opportunity for rural and urban social entrepreneurs to connect and partner, to build the network and further the overall growth of social enterprise. So how can you, the SHINE participant, support and in turn benefit from the renovation of the countryside?

Join us in this this practical session with Clear Village and The Hub. Limina is developing rural Hubs to support entrepreneurs and we are inviting you to get involved. In this session, get to grips with the ways we can we build better connections…

Now it’s spring and the leaves are beginning to unfurl, don’t you just want to run about outdoors? What if there was a network of rural Hubs where you could get into the verdant British countryside and work remotely?

Would you like to swim in a river after work and eat freshly grown produce? Hold events and workshops in peaceful and grounded surroundings, get you hands in the soil and wake up to wide horizons and birdsong?

Wild Wisdom Workshop 10am- 2pm
Facilitated by Lucy Hinton and Colin Campbell this workshop used storytelling techniques to allow the participants to engage with the park around them.

A Feast of Strangers 2.30pm- 6.30pm
Celebrating Theodore Zeldin’s birthday- instead of food, the menu consisted of topics of conversation. Theodore opened the event and the Limina crew introduced the participants to the menu and to people they hadn’t met before. People brought rugs to sit on and food and drink to share.

The Rambling Restaurant; supported the feast by providing a picnic lunch or a small donation.

Performance and live music including poets from Hammer and Tongue.
